Steve Dias - CocoLaPalm - Rebuilding Fund update.........

So far there has been $ 2,895 donated for helping to defray the cost of rebuilding Steve's burned down home. The CocoLaPalm will match up to $ 5,000 and we are more than half way there.

If there is anyone who hasn't given a little and want to help a humble, kind man and his family, please open your hearts and your wallets so that we can get closer to the total that will be DOUBLED by the Coco.

Thank you for all who have donated. Steve really appreciates this and all those who have stopped to drop off items to him!

For anyone who doesn't know, his house burned down a few weeks ago and he and his 2 kids, ages 11 and 4, lost everything but the clothes on their backs. We have teamed up with the CocoLaPalm to try to help him rebuild his life. Please donate if you are able. Thank you.

Thanks for the update. So heartwarming, and happy to help. I sent a check to the MN office (not far from my home, here!), and it reaffirms my faith in good people. I look forward to seeing Steve in December....and everyone else!

There is more good news about the generous donations to this fund. When I am able, I will let everyone know. Suffice to say that we don't need that much more to meet the match offered by the CocoLaPalm. Please consider helping in any way that you can.

Your help will be appreciated, I'm certain!

The total donations so far have crept up to $ 2,940. I am expected a large donation to come though at any time. All we would have left to reach the CocoLaPalm's generous match of $ 5,000 is a little over $ 1,000, when this large donation materializes.

Is there anything you can do to help?? Donation info is in a post on this thread above. Thanks again to all who have helped Steve and his family.

The $2940 figure would not reflect the second check I sent, so it is a little closer than appears. Hopefully others will continue to donate. Thanks to all who did and will.

There has been no news or updates from the Co Co to me lately. I asked them this morning for any update and word has it that the large donation is about to be made today, hopefully! I will update when I find out!

I just heard from Carlene at the Co Co and the fund is up to $ 3,740 without the generous donation which is due at any time.

So, we are almost there to achieve the total match from the Co Co LaPalm.
