Why "to stay or not to stay, that is the question"
Just love there are so many choices in Negril to stay and call home for how ever long one is there.Wondering where others like to stay and why. I and LOML(love of my life) Have been staying at Sea Splash. We have called it home away from home for going on 15 years. Look forward to hearing from other fellow boardies on this subject!

Have done many but now CoCo La Palm has it all, location, price, comfort etc.... I remember when the Sea Splash was the Sun Splash,we would take the long hot dog like inflatable they pull with the boat from Bloody Bay to Sun Splash, use it like a taxi.Tell him to come back in 2 hours.

Stayed on the Beach from 1992 until 2005. Various places on Long Bay and Bloody Bay.
Tried Seastar Inn up on the Cliffs in 2006, I'm not going back to the beach!
Enjoy,

Beach House Villas has a great location on the beach in that it is quiet yet close enough to the action when you need it. The staff is awesome. The size of the place is perfect, not too big and not too small allows you to get to know the other guests which is one of my favorite parts of travelling. In room kitchen comes in handy and the beds are really comfortable.

Another Hedonite here for a couple of years and then I found The Rayon Hotel and it's been home every since. It's like going home to stay with family. Great location right across from the beach and in the middle of everything...I can walk anywhere from there!!! Even the guys at Elvis Bike rentals are like my brothers and uncles!!!!

Charela Inn was my first and is still my favorite on the beach. Treehouse is next and is #1 in value! Gail is a creative and conscientious hotelier and a friend. Yellow Bird is also a value especially when groups can fill the cabins and their bar is a chill spot with great dirty bananas 2 for 1! We love them all and always visit even if staying elsewhere. But my happy place is the Blue Cave Castle on the cliffs. Susan, Petrona, Chef Teddy and the crew are true friends.
So many wonderful properties from end to end in Negril! Something for everyone and to each their own!
Bless...

Re: Why "to stay or not to stay, that is the question"
Hey,thanks for all the responses! I love hearing what others love about JA. My husband and I have only stayed one place in all our years going to Negril. Sea Splash is home away from home for us. We have formed lasting relationships with staff there and get so excited to see them each year! Love our spacious room with kitchen, comfortable bed and always looking up to find the treasured map of JA on the wall :). Oh and can't forget "our" lounge chairs! We always sit in the same ones every day as sand gravity grabs us as soon as we arrive on property. We do save our chairs each day with our colorful beach towels. The only time you won't see us sitting in them is to walk a few steps to the bar for something to quench our thirst or a quick bite to eat. :D Oh and I also wanted to say Diana Marley is a fantastic manager!:D
