First Reach I am making during the Winter

Hi Everyone, I've been to Negril many times going back to 1983 mostly during the summer or early December. Have always wanted to hit Negril for my birthday (which I share with Bob Marley), but it's never worked out. My wife wanted to do something special for me this year and was able to get good flights for next to nothing by using some of her miles and just booked it. That's one of the reasons I love her so much!! Anyway, I'm having a little sticker shock on hotel prices that time of year. So what do I do, I go to the people in the know. The Negril.com boardies. Well, how about it guys a little help on your favorite budget freindly spots on the beach during that time of year and why you love them. Also, when is the best time to book. I have done the cliffs before and would consider it if necessary, but our true love is the beach. I'm going to finally spend my birthday in Negril, help me decide where I lay my head down when it becomes necessary. Thanks in advance for your help.

Check out the wild parrott. Also grand pineapple or rooms,on the beach. Good budget spots

Thanks, Spanky. I have been looking at Wild Parrott, that is on the top of my list so far. Also White Sands, but when I try to book nothing is available there. Don't know much about Rooms, it always seemed to have kind of a wierd vibe when passing by. Have you stayed there?

Hey Tim, if you don't mind crossing the street, check out the Coral Seas Garden Resort.

It is next door to Sunrise Club and across the street from Bar B Barn and Mom's place.

Very close to Time Square shopping mall.

2 beds in every room, AC, Cable, WiFi, Safe in the room, Swimming pool.

Each room has a veranda/front porch in front with a wooden table and 2 chairs.

It is family owned and run.

The house keepers are the best and I mean best when it comes to cleanliness.

Call 876-957-4388, ask for the manager Junene, she is a living doll.

I have stayed there at least once a year for 10 plus years.

They recently re-surfaced the pool if you like pools.

Small type resort which is excellent for more privacy if you like and outside guest are welcome.

I second this...stayed twice love it there it's smack in the middle of EveryTing!
and I especially love the convenient store right next door for those late nights when you run out of cocktails..hehe

plus Sunnyside bar next door , soon come

Coral Seas Garden great price for what you get.

I would go for Wild Parrot. Very reasonably priced for high season and i like the small hotels. I stayed across the road in April and really felt disconnected from the beach/sea, not worth the $20/night savings. It's got everything you need (if you won't miss having a tv and don't care about a pool), and on a great part of the beach. Getting popular though, so I'd book early.

Thanks Markospoon and Van. I've been to the Sunrise club to eat, but I can't visualize Coral Seas Garden. I'll google it and check it out. Not sure how I feel about staying across the road, it's probably ridiculous since it's a matter of steps. Just a hurdle I may have to overcome.

Thanks Melody, I agree that it it is a great part of the beach. Wide beach, not too overcrowded and great food & drink options.

A friend of ours stayed at Coral Seas Garden a couple of years ago and was very happy with it, My husband's bday is also Feb 6.. I can't wait for the Bob Marley Bday Bash at MXII.

Highly recommend Negril Beach Club Condos with Jean. Not Negril Beach Club Hotel.

Pure Garden or Kuyaba....very inexpensive, close to downtown and various places to shop and eat.
