Re: Looking for GOOD food
Kuyaba....Food and ambiance....and free ride :)
Re: Looking for GOOD food
My favorite in Apr was Kuyaba and yes they pick you up from Coco. The peppa shrimp was to die for. Go to the Wild Parrot for lunch. Just a short walk to the right when facing the beach. Everything is delicious and if you like margarita's you MUST have one.

Re: Looking for GOOD food
Teddy's Hideaway at the Blue Cave Castle. Teddy is possibly the best chef in Negril! He used to be the chef at Kuyaba. And you can eat cliff side.
Canoe on the beginning of the west end. Gourmet quality at greasy spoon prices and the vibe is always just right!
Sunset After Dark also on the early west end has become a favorite of ours but they are only open during high season.
For fine dining Ivan's at Catcha is excellent!
Re: Looking for GOOD food
Thanks, I'll try to get to all of them
Re: Looking for GOOD food
Kuyaba didn't have the mountain pepper shrimp in late April nor in early June. Neither did Pushcart at both times. Pepper shrimp is my favorite....
Please give a try to the German Bar for cheap eats and pizza. The pizza may be a bit "doughy", but the sauce is spot on. Their bratwurst is custom ground and stuffed in Ochi and it is EXCELLENT for $350J w/ sauerkraut! Another great spot is Connie's on the Westend....all the food is great, great prices, and if you really want a chili dog or chili cheese fries...this is the place! Don't forget the soups and box lunches in front of Whistling Bird....just sayin...
Re: Looking for GOOD food
We've been to Negril many times had good meals at these places Sweet spice, sunrise,Ivans, rock house, Push cart, mariposo, Cosmo's,
for jerk, we like Bourbon beach, best in the west, and ossie's
Re: Looking for GOOD food
Shrimp Quesadillas at Chill Awhile, right next door to CCLP, are exceptional.
Re: Looking for GOOD food
Fatty's (Beach Road) for some good Jamaican Home Cooking & Angela's (upstairs at Bar-B-Barn) for some great Italian & the best pizza in Negril. Tamboo also has great pizza - their Lobster Pizza is awesome!

Re: Looking for GOOD food
Good Post! I guess my wife and I are drawn to the jerk chicken @ Best in the West. It's very good and inexpensive Plus, when your sitting around the tiny bar with other folks at night, the vibe is really cool. You'll meet some fun interesting people there. We also look forward to Norman's Patty's for a early afternoon snack on the beach. {Guy with the bicycle} Keep the information coming folks!! Best regards, Rock'n'Roll Farmer & wifey.
Re: Looking for GOOD food
Aubie`s Burgers just before seastar lane. Homemade burgers to die for. If my memory serves me correct I think he is also from Toronto.
Re: Looking for GOOD food
Love the jerk chicken pasta at Ivan's.
Re: Looking for GOOD food
And the jerk chicken fajitas at rockhouse.
Re: Looking for GOOD food
Ah geez...I thought of some more good eats! You can't beat the breakfast at The Treehouse! The chocolate chip waffles! Man o man, they are good. Also, the cheeseburgers at Country Country ! I'm getting hungry. Oh well for now here at home, another hot dog in the microwave.

Country Country has great breakfasts, $10 for made to order (GREAT banana pancakes) including juice and a carafe of coffee...plus georgeous sea view from your table, the sea is just a few steps away.
Last visit, I had a few meals from Anny's (Country Country/Treehouse area). Really delicious local dishes, very reasonably priced ($1000j for two dinners). Eat in, takeout, free delivery, or they will pick you up and return you for free. 853-0302 - breakfast, lunch and dinner: jerk pork, stew pork, eggs, ackee & saltfish, mackerel, curry chicken, stew chicken, roast beef, curry goat, fried chicken, jerk chicken, steamed or fried fish, curry shrimp, grilled lobster, oxtail -they also have great mashed potatoes, if you reach your limit on rice'n peas.
yup, shouldn't be reading this thread when one is hungry!
