Where is the best pool to hang out at for a day?

Seastar...good times and good friends
travellers beach resort-nice pool and lounging and eating area close to beach practically on it.Ricks cafe stays hottest all day right up to sunset nice when the live steel band come on drinks are a bit pricey though.
Shields on the beach smaller pool but swim up bar (i think) and a good bar with good speakers and good music.
NBCC Beach......clean, quiet, and good security........Bar and Food close by...............
Catch a Falling Star!! You can not beat that view while floating in the pool!!

As a visitor.. just wanting to wander up and use a pool.. your best bet is Rick's Cafe.
Go up early in the afternoon, swim a while, then snooze on those comfy loungers.
I usually buy one drink and visit with my friends there, but you can get away without buying anything and still using the pool.

considering all the pools I've been in and around Negril.......
I think the most vistors a place gets is probably the SeaStar Inn......
probably having a swimup bar has a lot to do with it........lol
and mi hear people do wata ballets there too.......lol
the food is excellent there and priced right........they have daily specials which are awesome......
personally I prefer the ocean.........but a lot can be said for not moving an inch for that Red Stripe Beer when you are in da wata.......lol

on the cliffs: Seastar, Rick's, Oasis, Sunset on the Cliffs, Xtabi, and Samsara.
on the beach: Shields, Travellers, NBCC, Fun Holiday, and Seasplash.
Those are the places I have personally swam at that as long as you have a drink or two or a meal have no problem and welcome visitors.
A really good snorkeling spot too right off the cliffs is that little cove area at Rockhouse, again just order something, but their pool is for guests only.
Some places I have not mentioned I have swam at, but since they officially don't allow visitors as overall policy, even if exceptions are made, I try not to advertise that. ;)
SamSara's pools are for "registered guests" only!
I'd say Seastar too ....nice ambiance around the place in general
I didn't know that about Samsara, everytime I have gone to Negril have gone over there and was always told it was okay, so they changed the policy within the past two years then?? That is a bummer, I liked the view from their whirlpool jacuzzi.
Just got back, was at Rick's Monday and the pool was drained....not sure why of if it was just for the day....
the best pool to hang out at is the huge pool of water called the Caribbean Sea!
