Sitting on the bed, watching the wife repack
We don't leave for another 35 days... I wonder how many times I will witness this scene between now and then.
I am reasonably sure she has a case with just shoes and swim suits, but I will keep my mouth shut in interest of keeping the peace at home :)

You've been looking in my suitcase too haven't you Hussyband? Haven't started packing for our Oct 18th trip yet but I've got my shoes and swim gear all lined up!

LOL! We were within a pound of our limit for our trip that we just returned from on the way there. On the way home we had acquired and extra 11 pounds and my wife couldn't understand why. My first thought was "it's from all the $hit U bought," however I know better to pop off after 19 years. Thankfully the lady at the counter helped me come up with a good excuse. Medical equipment gives you extra poundage, which I had by the way.

I always tell my wife that the extra weight is sand and the humidity. Damp clothes obviously weigh more. It certainly can't be all the $hit she bought.

Yes, IRIEchic. I'm brave when she's not around. :p
Re: Sitting on the bed, watching the wife repack
For Christmas last year my wife bought me a digital luggage scale so we can always weigh our luggage after packing. (Think of a handle with a large hook to hang the luggage from). There is nothing more embarrassing to get than the time in the airport when we had to open both suitcases and rearrange items because one suitcase weighed 51# and the other weighed 48#.
Never again will we have to let everyone in the airport look at all of our "goodies"!

Hehe smart man!
Re: Sitting on the bed, watching the wife repack
A luggage scale sounds like a great idea for a gift that you can actually put to good use. That sounds a lot better than trying to balance on our bathroom scale with a 49 pound suitcase on my head. :)
And yes Hussyband.....my wife does the same exact thing.

Hussyband I have to say I start to get my stuff together at least 2 months in advance. I always like to make sure I have everything its just part of the ritual!!!
Re: Sitting on the bed, watching the wife repack
Wow. Really?? Well yall's wives are better than I am (Booger I know yours is for FACT). I start packing at 3:00 am to catch a 6:00 am flight. Crossing fingers and holding my breath when its time to put the case on the scale at airport. lol
Starting to think I should invest more time and thought into this from now on
Hussyband at least she's doing the packing and you don't have to worry about it?
