They will be reopening in November and we are staying there in late December.

I read on TA that they are booked over the holidays, but certainly send an inquiry with your dates.

Nothing going on this past week - the Wild Parrot sign is gone and the place is all closed up...
Wild Parrot is only a memory now, :(
So sad. I hope the employees land on their feet somewhere else in Negril. They are the best!

Does anyone have alternate contact information for the former Wild Parrot? We booked Jan. 5-15 and were told by Toral that the new owners were going to still honor our reservations. Now today I see this post and tried to get a hold of Toral to make sure we are still good to go. Number disconnected, email shut down. Getting a little worried here. If they are not going to open back up, does anyone have suggestions for a different place to stay that is comparable in price. We are on a fairly tight budget this year, hence booking with Wild Parrot.

I said screw it and booked elsewhere. If they really cared for my business they would have stayed in touch with me. I know that the runnings are different in JA, but I shouldn't have to track down people to see if I still have a place to stay. I really like to keep the monies that I spend local, but if an owner of a property is from somewhere else that makes sure I have a place to stay, I have to go with it. At least I will still be able to spend my money on plenty of other local businesses, in hopes of keeping them around for the long haul.
Side Note: I still haven't given up on Sunquest/Wild Parrot/Yet to be named? for future reaches as I really like that property, but they will not get my business this year.
