So in keeping with the "best of threads", where will I get the best curried goat? Something with a bit of zing behind without having to add the Graces.

I have had good curried goat at Jenny's, nice and spicy.
Seafood on the Road, 3-Dives, Sweet Spot
Actually, we have enjoyed it at the Westender several times if you want a nice outing!
Its my favourite dish and the best one I've had so far is at Blue Mahoe at the Spa Retreat.
Push cart ..i had the best meal I've had in a long time right there.
Cosmos on the beach
My favorite is when my dad makes it but I also agree with Cosmos and Push Cart. I prefer Cosmo's over Push Cart.. Also try Cosmo's Red Pea Soup.
actually mi find the goat box meals from like Fatties or Collettes are superior.....and cheap

I never eat curried goat in Jamaica unless we are visiting family. Donna makes it regularly here at home so it isn't a novelty. But it is very tasty!
I had it at the Sweet Spot. Very good
Ras trumps us with a family card! When are you guys inviting the Board over? lol
I have to agree with him though. Nothing like home cooked. We met Nalda James and several of her classmates on the beach at Whitehouse on our first trip. They came done after school let out to check out the white people. She lived with us the following winter to attend school until she got so homesick and returned. Then we visited her family the following year as part of a circumnavigation of the island. Her family of 11 shared a humble 3 room house. The weather was rough so no fresh fish in a major fishing village. I walked about a mile to the fields with her cousin to fetch a goat. Dad and cousin gutted the goat in the front yard and butchered it with a machete on a plank between two trees. The dog (no name) snapped up anything that hit the ground. Miss Nal and I went to the store to get the curry. Mom and sisters cooked it up in the cooking shed. It was the best I've ever had, but we didn't stay long enough for the Manish water regrettably.
3-Dives has proven, for me, to be the most reliable spot for curry goat. Haven't tried it at Cosmo's, but heard it is good there. Actually, a huge dinner at Cosmo's to start off a Friday night is on the list for the next reach...
Mr. Read, who owns Chances, had his wife cook up some curried goat for me and a few friends of mine. It was unbelievably good. I love Jamaican food.
Collettas- first meal if possible, and as many times as I can ......love it!
Chicken Lavish had a pretty good curried goat when we were there last year. They are up on the west end road.
I was never crazy for curry goat .... I'd eat it when my Jamaican friends served it, but always thought it was a little too gristly. Then I tried it from 3 Dives .... and theirs was very tender and flavorful.
