Since this is thr right crowd, what is everyone's take on the springbreakers?
I understand and can appreciate that it's good for local business.

But from a boardie standpoint?
PITA? or kinda cool becuase it gives the higglers someone else to sell to or any other thoughts?

Been coming to Negril since '88...took a fews years & explored other warm winter places then back in '05. I used to get the heck out of there generally by the 1st weekend in March to avoid the Springbreakers. That doesn't seem to be the case anymore since I started coming back. Yeah there's a few but no where near what it was with masses of them. A combination of things did it...bad press issues on some unfortunate rapes..deaths...then there's the $ thing...& Mexico became the big hitter. All that said I don't let it force me to leave there til I want in March. I always stay in the the cliffs anyway & they really don't stay or come up there...except a Rick's visit then it's back to the beach for them & get jiggy!!

I read the list and laughed my butt off - Dash is still on our floor! I will bring an extra blanket or 2!!!!

Looks like it's going to be one heck of a partay! And this isn't even the official Boardie Bash! Just a Minor Invasion!

Can't wait to meet you all. Anyone there on the 9th, we're off to the races ... the Donkey Races, that is - in support of the Negril Rotary who lovingly support St. Anthony's kitchen!

Does Miss Pearl sell her fried chicken at the Donkey Races? I gotta get me some of that! Miss Pearl is AWESOME!!!!!!

Miss G's family (6 adults, 3 kids) are staying at Rondel. Last time they visited was 30 yrs ago and they stayed at the yard. I've posted pics of the boys with LInston and Mommy when they were 5 - 8. Now they have their own kids and we're all going up to Zion Hill together. We're really looking forward to this trip.

Interesting list. I've been on this board since almost day one yet recognize few names. Guess I've been busier than I thought lately - as in the past year or so, so less board time. Lots of new boardies. I just booked... 1/25 - 2/7. Summer is the usual time for my long stays. This is a short trip but I really need a getaway - lol. #50 or 51 for me, depending on how you keep track. I'll just be happy to be back in Negril & enjoying the beach & friends. Meeting my best bud there, as usual.

64 days don't know if I can wait!!!!

under 50 days now but tough to wait with prairies temp yesterday -46 with the windchill, but improving to a balmy -36 today!
Did switch stay to Treehouse for Feb list, couldn't pass up the Groupon deal and always wanted to go back to Treehouse, saw Toots and the Maytals there in 1981, will be nostalgic.

rasthai will see you at Treehouse. We know why Saskatchewanites are so comfortable in Negril. The horizon reminds them of home! We can walk down the beach and visit Momthor3 at Rooms.

Dash, sounds like a plan, mostly been a lurker on this board but wld like to meet up with a few same minded folks from the board.
Have another couple staying at legends beg Feb and then on Feb 10 a crew of about 15 or so saskites will be taking over Fun Holiday. Maybe see some Rider bathing suits!

I think M&G were concerned that their athletic and acrobatic (and too frequent) love making would disturb our sleep! Oh those kids!!!! We found alternate accommodation at treehouse.

LOLOL! Clearly have not read through this thread recently. Dash, that was too funny! You do know, I will get you back! But it's a tough act to follow! I guess I can unpack the extra long yoga mat I had in my valise - and since I see the "we" in your post, I guess the lovely Mrs. Dash will be there, too! Woohoo! But I guess I can unpack that inflatable doll we had put in to distract you! :) More room for flip flops! We gotta get together for a beer of 6 (Go Canada!).
