Cant decide where to stay?
for upcoming trip end of this month?
I am wnting to stay some where with a bar that has some action, so I don't get board, lmao
Shortlist so far, Oh and plan on a split stay, cliffs first then beach, maybe?
Seastar appears to have a few rooms my first 4 nights,
Ixtabi, great price, and liked staying there before.
Catcha Gardens, not sure if they even have any rooms available?
Beach, Nothing is jumping out at me, found some good deals but no where that really/

Re: Cant decide where to stay?
Xtabi would be a great place. Good central location and hub for your excursions. You will be a short walk away from Eddies, Pee Wee's, and good eats all around the place. Nice ocean view, pool, and priced right.
Anyway, those are the reasons we picked it.

Re: Cant decide where to stay?
Xtabi is a good choice and Catcha Gardens is also. Catcha Gardens doesn't have a bar but all you do is walk across the road to LTU. Great bar and a great view. Then, you can stumble back..LOL. Enjoy and have more fun than ever!! :)

Re: Cant decide where to stay?
The Treehouse is always fun on the beach, lots of action when I walk by. Close to Margaritaville too! Rooms Negril is also really nice, a bit more laid back but walking distance to Alfred's and Roots Bamboo for some local action...
-
Re: Cant decide where to stay?
If you are looking at the garden side of Xtabi, then I would also consider Catcha Gardens as a comparable option. You will be right across the street from LTU for the bar action you are looking for.
I would also take a close look at Home Sweet Home. You can probably get a great rate this time of year. They have a bar on site, and for the nights when their bar is not hoppin' you have Jenny's/C&D, Spyda's, No Limit and Pee Wee's steps away from the front gate.
-
Re: Cant decide where to stay?
I was looking at Home Sweet Home too, I like the location Jenny,s and Spyda,s are two of my favourites!
Ixtabi still up there I stayed there last feb. and really liked it there.
-
Re: Cant decide where to stay?
Don't forget the free brekkie at Seastar and free rides to the beach.
-
Re: Cant decide where to stay?
Moonlight Villa is a cozy little place. Located right next door to Pee Wee's.

Re: Cant decide where to stay?
I think Catcha Gardens has a special for Nov, $49/night. Rinakim stayed there last time and loved it, going back in Dec. I want a seaview and got $80/night at Mirage. I emailed and they're including the taxes. Nice rooms, all with great seaview, AC, fridge, wifi, tv, coffee maker, continental breakfast included (baking from Charela), pool. You're welcomed as a guest at Charela's beach, including towels, but you're on your own for transport. Not a party place, unless you make your own, no restaurant or bar on property. But it looks like a nice quiet place to relax, no issue self serving your own drinks, and good location (Wise Choice, Sharks, Aubees etc across the street).

Re: Cant decide where to stay?
That's a good price on Mirage!, Love Debbie and Moonlight,s location, too many dogs for me, don't get me wrong I like dogs,:)
I am going to decide tomorrow.

Re: Cant decide where to stay?
HSH has 30% off for Nov, starting at $70/night plus taxes. No fridge or coffee maker though, you can rent them, $$.
Catcha Gardens has two big puppies as well...Rina and Larry loved them. Quiet and gentle.

That is a great rate for hsh. I paid more than that under the old ownership, and the new owners have really stepped it up a notch. It's hard to beat for a sea view room on the cliffs with a pool, restaurant, free wifi etc.
-
Re: Cant decide where to stay?
HSH is a great place to stay! I also got a great rate, better than Charlie. One thing I need to add is they have an EXCELLENT chef!!
-
Re: Cant decide where to stay?
Depends a lot on your personal must haves. HSH with taxes on the sale rate is $85, adding on the $20/night fridge rental brings it to $105. Coffee pot rental was another $10/day. I can bring my own travel coffee maker but prefer not to...a fridge is another story and essential IMO. As long as I have breakfast at my hotel, I prefer to eat at other cliff places the rest of the day (that's partly why I want to stay on the cliffs, closer access to all the eateries I've yet to try). I like to self serve my own drinks on hotel property, so works better if they don't have a bar. As long as there's good places to eat/drink next door or across the street and the location is otherwise good, with wifi and fridge (bonus for coffee pot!), my priorities are met. For others, a bar and restaurant may be must haves. For my priorities and cost factor, I chose Mirage over HSH. Catcha Gardens would have been great with their sale price, but room sea view was my first priority for this stay.

Re: Cant decide where to stay?
Oh your confusing me even more?
I don't need a fridge, warm beer is ok with me,
Don't need a coffee maker,
But having a view right on the cliffs is sounding good!
Except I am almost never in my room except to sleep sometimes passout?

Decisions, decisions! :) you are very easy to please (warm beer!?), so bar and location sounds like your priorities.
And the winner is?

Poolguywindsor - Themartins are good friends of mine - and I talked them into Seastar. I was upset for them when they had to cancel, and am glad someone who loves the place got the deal. Thank you for helping them out - if we ever cross paths I'll buy you a red stripe :)

Re: Cant decide where to stay?
It just worked out for both of us! I always give Chris a hard time as I usually am a last minute booker, and they are always booked!
