What bar has the best selection of music in Negril???.. strictly Roots/Culture/Dub/Ska/Rocksteady-
Cliff side ???... Beachville ???
Nothing against other forms of music ( I love 'em all)
Lookin' for a place to hang with the right musically vibe & soundsystem to back it up
Canoe Bar and Grill. Great Tunes, vibe, food, staff and has it's own beach! Right on Mary's Bay at the beginning of the cliffs.
Would love to hear some suggestions on a bar but just in case, I loaded up my ipod with a bunch of Paragons, Techniques, Melodians, Hopeton Lewis and more so I can be sure to have my Trad fix while I'm there.Quote:

That is a good question, and not sure there is a place that stands out, and that's from some one who has spent time in most of the bars there.
I have heard some good stuff here and there but cant think of a place that plays that stuff regularly?
Dennis at White Sands plays some solid roots reggae. Never hurts to ask wherever you are either.
With about 3600 songs on my phone of which a big part of are reggae and dancehall, I have a really good selection of my own.
Only place comes to mind is Leroy,s in Duncans Bay?
Hope someone has that place to recommend in Negril?
Tony's Hut and Boat Bar.

Sypda's puts on some good tunes, especially if Spyda is in the house. Good place to play dominoes as well.

Always enjoy White Sands when Tony is bartending.
My crew and I stopped in a Pee Wee's the Feb before last. There were a few locals sitting around and asked if we had any tunes. I hooked my phone up to the sound system and DJ'ed half the night. What a BLAST! The locals loved my Johnny Cash!Quote:

Bill at Blue Horizon West has a great collection of music. He's one hip Boomer.
I haven't hear too much about the Blue Horizon in the last year and a half. Are they still open? I know they were open in April 2012, when we stayed next door at HSH, but it looked quiet during our last couple trips (maybe because it was slow season).Quote:
