Good Morning Live from Tensing Pen

Good Morning

What a lovely morning here in Negril.. Weather is awesome , cooler that I expected. The grounds here at TP are as lush as I have ever seen them. With no tropical systems coming trough the Caribbean this year it has given the vegetation a change to really come back th the glory days.

Yesterday was a long travel day. We opted to try and save some money this year on airfare and took some unusual flight times at better prices. I do not know it it was worth it. Our normal fligh from or home city leaves at 5am arrives in Atlanta at 7:15 then leaves Atlanta at 9:15 arriving Mobay at 12:15. This year tickets from Pensacola were $300 a ticket less. It required driving 1:30 to there airport. Leave at 7:15 arrive Atlanta at 9:02 with 3 hour layover. Then leave Atlanta ate 12:15 and arrive Mobay 3:15

This is where thinks go bad, not only do we get in 3 hours later than normal. There were a lot more planes arriving in front of us so the lines at immigration we very very long. Took about a hour to gets through immigration and customs and we are more accustomed to only 30 minutes. Then the traffic ho **** the traffic. Rush hour on a Friday afternoon in Mobay, same in Hopewwell and Luceaa. Never again will we do this on the way to negril, I don't mind so much when leaving but to start your vacation I nam just ready to be in negril and the tranquility of Tensing Pen.

Once we arrived we were given welcome drinks, checkin was guick. I ran across the street to the market grab some rum. See Juliet from Shark's say high, ran into Mikey one of our favorite drivers,

Of course the 3 ridgebacks Shuga, Tensing and Beezy were on hand to greet us, they spent the night in our cottage. We grabbed a great dinner at Sharks, curried conch and pan fried snapper,. Came back to the cottage and watched a episode of The Big Bang on the ipad and fell asleep to awaken to this glorious morning.

Heading down for breakfast soon. Oh any by the way all the cottages at TP now have they own router so you have wifi on your porch!!!

Wow! We've never stayed at Tensing - it sure looks wonderful. Sharks is one of my favourite places especially the escovitch fish. Enjoy your vacation :)

'morning Timm. I'm just down the road from you at Mirage. Out having breakfast. The sun just came out, hot now! Moving to Coco this afternoon. Planned to go walking/exploring this am, but with the heat now, not so much feeling like making the effort. Oh well!

Melody, take good notes on the Mirage. The wife and I have decided to make it our home base, for our next trip this winter.

Tensing Pen always looks so good, I think I might have to save up and stay there one of these days.

Love Mirage. Great quiet place to call home. Great people too.

Met Mr & Mrs Timm briefly at Ahbees at lunchtime. Headed back to Mirage for a very quick dip in the pool before the afternoon rain started in earnest. Sun is shining but still lightly raining. Hope it quits completely within 20 minutes when I'm moving to the beach.
