Does anyone know if there is a limit to how many times per month the international minutes (1000 or 1250 plan) can be topped up? I know it used to be limited to once per month, but I was told Digicel now has no limit. I can't seem to find any solid info on the internet about this. Any info is much appreciated.

If you go to there website and submitt a email they will respond back to you.
unless it has changed recently they only allowed 1 plan per month back in May.....I would email them tho as suggested as they do reply quite quickly and are very helpful. Good luck
I know you can do more than one per month cause i was there in March for 3 weeks and i was able to do it two times...As soon as talked the first 1000 minutes up i went back to the store and did it again...
Thanks for the replies! I just sent them an email. Also, I just spoke to a friend who also said they did it twice last month. Will wait to hear if two is the limit or there is no limit anymore. I'll post the answer when I hear back. Thanks Again
You can add International Minutes every day if you want/need to. No limit.
I think some people may be confusing the regular credit that can be used for both international ($18j a minute) or local calls (up to $12j a minute) at a per minute rate with the two far less expensive international calling plans ($1j a minute) - both of which need to be activated after the credit has been applied to the phone. One allows for 1000 minutes per month and the other is for 1250 minutes per month. They can only be activated once each month. You will then be charged $8j per minute afterwards...
When I was there this February, I had 5 teenagers using the phone 24/7. My international credit was used up before the expiry date. In one month, we used almost 3000Ja worth of international time. In order to add more credit to a phone where the money NOT the date has expired, you have to do the proper input of numbers.
To add credit when $$ gone but date not expired = *134* 5 *1000 (or 1250 if u want that plan) send. So, askerisk, 134, askerisk, 5, askerisk, 1000 then send.
To add credit for the 1st time = *134* # send then *134* 1000 send. The first *135 tells digicel you are requesting international time, the second actualy puts your time on the phone.

Not getting it confused you can do it twice per month i did it back in March.
I definitely did something wrong with my new unlocked AT&T phone when I got a Digicel SIM card early this month.
I haven't gotten my bill yet, but talked to AT&T on another matter, and I was still charged roaming charges for part of the time?, so my phone bill is going to be over$200. I didn'tmake that many calls to the US and people didn't seem to be able to get through to me from the US. I'm not sure what I did wrong, but next reach I'll just rent a damn phone!!!! LOL
I thought it would be good to have all my contact numbers on the phone, but I still had to write them down before calls due to the necessity of having to add the "1"...... Live and Learn!!!
Agreed, not getting it confused. I also know for sure the plan can be activated at least twice a month. I just wasn't sure If it was possible for more than two times and more importantly 'How' to activate it. As I mentioned I did email Digicel, but since it's the weekend I won't hear back until at least Monday, but I think I have my answer now...Thanks Nicole, your answer is exactly what I was looking for. I know for a fact you can go in to Digicel whenever you need International minutes and they will add it for you. As I stated earlier it can be every other day if you want to.
Since the big international plan has 1250 minutes on it - that is over 20 hours of solid international calling. If you are needing to start the plan every other day, that would mean you would be calling internationally for over 10 hours each day...
For most people on vacation, a single plan of 20 hours of international calls should suffice...
