LOL, he looks very comfy and maybe a tad guilty.
She, sugar and tensing moved in with us, Timm. I'll have to grab the majority of the pic's off of Cindi's iPad. But they were even hanging out with us when Mary was there... One of the wedding guests thought they were our dogs, and we had brought them.. We ended up leaving the front door of red birch open, and they would sleep in the living room. We had them in to watch a movie with us one evening in one of the bedrooms, but once sugar got into the air conditioning, she did not want to leave.

Above pic is Tensing for those who do not know the dogs. He is the patriarch of the three.
i've had so many amazing dogs adopt me while travelling. in some cases they've appeared out of nowhere to walk with me down dark lonely stretches only to take off when i'm safely back at my accommodations. dogs are so great!
When we stayed at Tensing, Sugar took a liking to us…or our chair :) it probably had something to do with the fact that we brought dog treats with us…Sugar and Tensing would show up in the morning looking for a treat and then Sugar would hang around for a while and "visit" :)

Cute dogs! They look very quiet.
They are very nice dogs...they will leave (reluctantly) if asked :) they are Negril relaxed...
Sweet pictures!! There is absolutely nothing better than "resort dogs"....For those of us that are dog lovers, they give the needed fix when separated from our own dogs at home. I know that I always enjoy my stay more when there are dogs around!! Looks like I might have to start saving a few more bucks so that I can meet these fine canines!!
any chairs avaliable that ain't dog sat in...lol
When we were there two weeks ago, there was a wedding party that rented the majority of the resort. The brides side of the family were Jamaicans (as a side note, the sisters of the bride all looked like runway models, totally unrelated to my story, but made the scenery at the resort just that much better), and most of them were scared of the dogs. Earlier in the week, one if the owners was there, and the three dogs typically follow her everywhere and have run of the resort. After she left though, on the day of the wedding, they locked all three of the dogs up, because they were barking at the guests.
We were sitting in the hammock hut, and when anyone walked by, they would start in growling and barking... Not the best thing for a wedding to have three 100+ pound dogs barking at the guests. So, they got taken up to the managers apartment which is above the office. I have never seen such a pitiful look as those three trying to convince me to let them out from the roof of the office every time I walked by that day. Before they locked them up, they came and took them out of our living room, and sugar tried to go hide in the hall between the bedrooms. They are the fiercest looking wuss dogs I have ever met :). Sugar is the biggest of the three, and to see her trying to hide was comical. On the first night they got locked up, the managed to break the gate down, tensing slipped his collar, and when I got up in the morning, all three were sleeping in my living room.
Honestly, those dogs were one of the highlights of my trip.
I love that first picture, it just screams "So what are you going to do about it??". Beautiful dogs! Might have to stay at TP on trip just to meet them :)
Timm,
Did you have dinner at LTU tonight? :)
Have a great trip!
VVHT
Hi VVHT, have not made it to LTU yet. Tried several nights but seems like someone always wants to go here do that and so on. Lots of couples we know here this year so has been a juggling act but have had great time so far. It never works out like what you plan in Jamaica.
We love our extended family of returning guest here at TP. Had a family style thanksgiving dinner last night. We had 14 of us at one big long table !!!
Attachment 31762here's a painting i did a couple of years ago sitting in front of the office at tensing pen. it's called "let sleeping dogs lie" and if you look closely you can see tensing curled up under the table
Nice painting Elsie !
Here is a similar view…without Tensing :)

my husband and i spent many weeks at tensing pen through the years. there have been many dogs that i saw come and then pass. one of my favorites was oscar, who was the big daddy alpha male. tensing was the first ridgeback to arrive and threaten his territory, and then suga. i have never met beezy, but i look forward to meeting yet another wonderful dog at the beautiful special tensing pen.
here's a drawing from one of my stays.
