Are the beaches closed right now?

I have been told the beaches are closed right now and curfew 8pm. Curfew no issue for me, but I must have swims!!! I am bringing my very active 7 yo son and not sure I want to stay on cliff waterside with him. He needs room to run around and swim. Any suggestions and info on closures appreciated! ❤

The Negril Beach is under direct management and control which means it will remain open.
The only beach areas closed in Negril are the Long Bay Beach Park & Norman Manley Beach Park.
