Re: It's official! Corridor is open!
Rob, this following sentence is what worries me .
If the result of the test is positive, they would be isolated either at the hotel/resort or in a government facility as determined by the health authorities.
what government facility could they be speaking about ?.
last question also are tourists now allowed to shop at value master or hi lo ?
thanks again
Re: It's official! Corridor is open!
Testing positive would worry me...
The procedure is if you are positive but asymptomatic, you would be isolated in the room designated by the hotel as their Covid room. If you are showing symptoms, they would want you to be able to be treated in a government facility. It may be a hospital or makeshift hospital. The Health Ministry would take all steps to get you back home asap, but only if you are able to travel, within a day if possible.
If you are one of the few to be tested here, it would be wise-smart- the right thing to do NOT to stop anywhere until your results are back. Be sure to inform your driver so they are aware of the added risk.
The government knows that you may need to do banking and some shopping, all the open stores are certified Covid Resilient so follow all the protocols if you do not need to be tested or test negative.
But if you are tested and are positive, the least thing of concern would be banking or shopping...
In addition, the hotel would probably have to be closed for a complete sanitizing process and all staff tested and quarantined at home for 14 days. Same with your driver.
A positive test result effects things drastically for everyone you come in contact with...
Re: It's official! Corridor is open!
:confused:Does the resilient corridor include roads like Westland Mountain, Hermitage Roads and the road leading up to Red Dragon? Just trying to figure how narrow the corridor is.

Yes, those places are in the Corridor. There are properties listed that fall outside the "strict" definition used in the wording on the JTB website. Use it as more of a guide...
