Sunset Negril and Walk Good Mango Hall Basic School Benefit Sale
Greetings fellow Boardies!
For those of you who don’t know me, a brief introduction. My name is Roland Reimer, and I am a Negriloholic - have been since my first trip in 1976. Furthermore, I’ve been a Boardie since Rob was a young man :>)
I’ve written two books about Negril; ‘Walk Good’, a travelogue (Sept. 2002) and ‘Sunset Negril’, a novel (Aug. 2011).
To mark the publication of ‘Sunset Negril’, I am offering both books at 30% discounts to Negril.com Boardies.
For the next two weeks, until September 25th, the net proceeds from the sales of these volumes (purchased using the discount codes below) will be donated to The Mango Hall Basic School located in Mango Hall, Westmoreland. The attached photo shows the school, a simple, one-room wooden structure. A Basic School in Jamaica is the equivalent of a kindergarten.
Why the Mango Hall Basic School? Well, I’ve chosen it to be my own personal Jamaica charity - and - The Mango Hall Basic School is featured in ‘Sunset Negril’. You are no doubt aware of the need for basic school supplies that plagues most schools in Jamaica. Every little bit helps. So, if you want to send some money to a good cause, and spend some ‘virtual’ time on the beach, you can use the links and discount codes below.
I will be having a book signing in Negril in mid-February (TBD), the entire proceeds of which will also be donated to The Mango Hall Basic School.
Both books are offered in Print and eBook formats.
Here are the links and discount codes:
These titles are also available on Amazon.com, (without discounts) and the proceeds of Amazon sales will not go to the Mango Hall school.
Walk good;
Roland
