Re: More Photos from 1972
rjonsun,
It seems as though Negril but specifically Red Ground has a lot of Johnson's!!
Did you ever know Mortimer Johnson, a former MoBay taxi driver who lived up in Reg Ground and rented rooms to visitors

Re: More Photos from 1972
Oh yes, I remember Mortimer! Those photos are just as I remember.
And some people called her Grand Mom Johnson, some Grand Mom Porter. Jim and I got to see her and daughter Jenny a while before she passed in 2007. When we first arrived Jenny was a young teenager and would bring our food to the cottage. I understand she also passed a few years ago.

Bob

One more thing. Jim passed into eternity on January 29, 2020 after a long battle with cancer.

Re: More Photos from 1972
Forgive me for asking but who was Jim?
Re: More Photos from 1972
i recognize the road in the picture if you went to the right instead of walking up the road is where we stayed with the Mosely family. they are still there of caused and have built a nice home in a "gated" community
Re: More Photos from 1972
Jim was the fellow that I first traveled to Jamaica with in 1972. We grew up on the same street and were life long friends. We later traveled to Colombia, South America where, believe it or not, joined a circus.

Bob
