Do they sell sand toys at the HiLo or anywhere else in Negril or will we have to get them in Mobay? I just don’t think we can fit them in our carry ons or luggage to bring with us. Thx!

I don't recall seeing any sand toys at Hi Lo...but I have noticed a few choices at Quality Traders and the Riverside Pharmacy next to Burger King.
Time Square & Boardwalk Shopping Village also have a few shops that'll have a variety of options for you.
Maybe the property at which you are staying has sand toys available for their guests to use.
Like Lisa said, plenty of the little shops sell sand toys. The Times Square shops have a good selection.
You might want to check with Idle Awhile also.
When I stayed there a thousand years ago...they had a pile of toys for children.
And, the children staying there were treated like gold!
Could someone please explain to this poor girl that the fact that she can't find room for toys in her luggage is probably not on the top of the list of concerns these days.
You think I don’t have concerns? How dare you. You know nothing about me. You haven’t spent nights holding your child while they vomit all night or while they get pushed down by a bully at school. You have no idea what I go through on a daily basis so please just go away.
Don't let some of these people stress you out. Savor not worrying about anything but the sand toys while it lasts! You and your family are going to have a great vacation. Enjoy and report back!
I first took my kids to Negril when they were as young as 5. I remember those days of trying to pack things and find things in Negril for them to do. I am fortunate that they love Negril to this day as much as I do and we still travel together to Negril even tho they are in their 20s now. I think it is great BethAnn38 for you to make that commitment to bring them even tho it has its challenges bringing little ones. Memories are precious. Enjoy your trip!
Thank you. It’s actually a shame we don’t go more often because they haven’t seen their grandparents since 2017. It’s not easy traveling with them when they’re so young but at 4 and 6 now it’s getting a bit more tolerable. And like Rob said I’m just trying to give them a sense of normalcy in all this chaos and stress.
Bethann,
The last time I stayed at Idle (2019) they had a few inflatable things on the side of the small restroom, towards the beach area, for kids to use. We left our floats too. who wants to pack a wet sandy floaty that you get your $10 out of anyway. I would hope this is typical of most travelers, so expect to find something. I did not see a pail & shovel though. An inflatable beachball or floatie can fit in your pocket.
There is a shop in the plaza just behind Value Master (it might even be the only ship open in that plaza) but he has a little bit of everything in there. It's like Walmart packed into a small store. Lots of bikes, play toys and beach stuff. After your 14 day quarantine drop in and see Chandan or call to see what he has. While in quarantine and not able to get out, I'm sure he can get what ever you want and get it to you.
The drug store across from Tree house has them. (New shopping center)
