    **on-site Trip Report [[ Tuesday early-afternoon....... 01/14/14 ]]

    Friends,
    HEAR-me when i tell you:::>> weather-wise, these past-few Jamaican-days have been OUTSTAND-ing..!!!..

    You WON'T believe..!!..

    today, is extra nice, with blue-blue skies and calm pretty water/sea.
    Temperature JUST RIGHT..!!

    a concern:::>> no rain fall from looooooooong time ..... hate to say it, but we need rain.

    After this post,
    i'm running over to Negril, to jump into the sea ... 'twill be my first-time this trip.

    and::>> I MUST::>> stop by the RutlandPoint craft market, adjacent to the Negril airport, to visit/see/link some folks who got me *started* on this fantastic Jamaican-odessy:::: the various craft vendors der

    i OWE them a LOT..!!..

    Firstly:::>> I gotta say this:::>> "..LISTEN to boardie-Rob.."
    for the most-part he tells it like it is ---- in *his*-*way*

    The other day, Rob told me that if you wanna see/meet-up with somebody, just THINK about 'em THREE-times .... kinda sorta like Dorothy clicking her red-slippers, in that movie

    It WORKS..!!... ---- Trust me..!!

    Since he told me this voo-doo thing-y, it's been happening over and over and OVER again.

    more on this later

    'tis scary stuff
    .

    .
    .
    question::>> DID you see the moon last night..??..
    here in Jamaica, i can't get enough of looking-pon the pretty and BRIGHT full-moon.

    the thing-y looks/looked like a big lit-up-hole in the black-night-sky.
    ...as if heaven had punched a hole in the darkness, to see whagwan below

    i didn't wanna gaze pon it too long, 'cause i didn't wanna go blind ---- gotta wear sunglasses to look pon dat Jamaican full-moon-shine.
    .
    .
    'twas another coolish night last night
    had to pull-out the long-pants
    .
    .
    My breakfast --- Today
    .

    .
    .
    be careful,
    when eating watermelon only
    for breakfast

    :-(

    after about 45-minutes, of walking,
    when i reached Lucea-town
    that melon-juice had *worked* it's *magic*

    computer-place's bathroom was occupied

    so,
    i scurried outside to find a place to _____ _____ _____

    * whew *
    * sigh *

    i LOVE this island with it's non-foreign customs/traditions/practices
    OH,,,what a *relief* it IS..!!..

    by the waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay::::>> as some may *think*,,, it's NOT just the men's who do *this* outside, in public,,,, women's do it TOO ..... you probably haven't noticed or seen 'em .... but they dew-wheat TOO

    next time you see a lady,
    and you turn your head
    and you look again, and she GONE

    and,
    then you look again
    and she pop-up::::::: then you can kinda-sorta *ass-su-me* she ______ ______ ____ { maybe }

    .
    .
    .
    the *new* left-behind shoes are working GREAT..!!..
    ..leg issues/conditions are better,,, thus far

    HEAR-me now::>>> I am NOT blaming Jamaica for this leg problem. I came down with it. BUT, Jamaica didn't *help* make things better, especially since i came without better shoes

    my-point..??.. ----- don't blame Jamaica for something YOU didn't do properly. For example, IF you CAME down here with some sickness and/or disease, don't blame the island for what-ever.

    further::>>> germ-wise:::>> 'would be a good idea to not-bring dem from-foreign germs down here.

    :-(

    ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

    .
    .
    'tis 12:09 pm
    gotta run to the FunHoliday webcast

    WILL post more to this-thread later this evening.

    ~~~ likkle bit ~~
    to be continued this evening
    .
    .
    oh oh ooooooooooooooh::>> before i go:::>>another question::::>> are ALL the Chinese-Jamaicans named "..Chin.." ...??..
    That's funny Smith - I've seen a few women stop and squat to relieve themselves and then just keep on truckin' afterwards - Just like the guys do. But I've noticed that the women are a little more discrete.
    [[ continue-ing ]]
    Well,
    i failed
    :-(
    i broke my rule,
    and *planned* more than ONE-thing for the day
    didn't make it to the FunHoliday webcast,
    and my splash-in-the-sea time
    only got as far as the Negril airport craft market
    .
    .
    .
    .
    there're two-more videos to upload & post for you,
    but as usual, youtube is sooo slow
    ..other 2 videos soon-come ... on wednesday [fingers crossed]
    .
    .
    what was to be a quickie visit turned into over an hour, of chatting, seeing old-old associates from waaaaaaaaaaaaaay back in the day.
    one highlight of the visit,
    was being reminded that one of the cook-shops there,
    starts serving a GREAT Jamaican breakfast at 7:30 AM until 'bout 9am
    ...today they had run-down mackeral on the menu
    mi vexed that i missed THAT dish ---- love love looooove me some rundown ANYthing.
    folks were surprised and happy ( i *think* ) to see me once again.
    ...many asked me if i was still doing photography, 'cause blah blah raa raa
    mi-SAY:::>> "... Nope... ain't doing that this trip.."
    most of the visit was with a close-associate ---- MissPauline
    [[[ you'll get to meet her, in upcoming video(s) ]]]
    a GOOD-GOOD person to know [[[ trus mi ]]]
    she & I chatted for over an hour,,, catching-up on both our families,
    and
    commiserate-ing together and compare-ing elder-care war stories:::: she about her aged mom, and I about my past 2.5 year *adventure* nursing my mom back into tip-top shape.
    This craft market is a great place to shop.
    Especially, if you're staying at GrandLido, Sandles, PointVillage, or one of the Rui spots --- ideal location
    a couple vendor-associates weren't on-sight,
    because it was Tuesday,
    and Tuesday (for some) means going East,
    just beyond Lucea
    to sell stuff at the GrandPaladium resort(s)
    .
    .
    i'll link/catch-up with those-missed at another time
    funny thing happened earlier,,,,,
    earlier,
    while i was working on part one of this report,
    THREE vendor-ladies from this craft market came into the computer place, for something(s)
    they were surprised to see me
    :-)
    it was as if the gods sent them to the computer place,
    to *motivate* me to move that market-visit to the TOP of my must-do-list
    .
    .
    sorry i haven't posted more today
    will try to do better on Wednesday
    you all have a good-night..!!..
    i KNOW::>> MY night is gonna be GREAT..!!..
    ...lata..
    .
    * whew *
    Done..!!..
    .
    .
    a *tricky* thing-y,
    about visiting my Ja-associates
    ESPECIALLY at their work-site,
    is that I've GOT TO be mind-FULL
    that they are AT WORK..!!..
    don't wanna interfer with what they're doing
    for example,
    while chattin' with MissPauline
    and others
    i had to stop .... and SHUT UP... and be a fly on the wall,,, while they did their *thing* with the tourists/foreigners/customers ---- especially, when the big bus(es) pull up to the market.
    mi no wanna mash-up their focu$.
    again.... good night ... check you's on Wednesday
    Mmmm....mmmm. Oooh these videos took me back to times when I ate breakfasts at those little food shops in that craft market. Fantastic food, big portions. I could go for some Jamaican made kidney tonight for sure. I DID see something I guess I have to put on my 'foodie bucket list' - I'll try anything once, yet in all my years of travel on the island, I've never come across "Goat Head & Belly" - can't even imagine what that would be like (unless it's in mannish water, which I can slurp up by the mega cups)
