what was the affair? I have never encountered men in tuxedos in Jamaica! And last I saw you when you saved me by giving my computer a charge, you were pretty casual. Million thanks by the way--I still have not posted my trip report!

    Irieworld,

Nice to hear from you again. Hope you're doing well.

This was a formal affair that centered around the installation of officers at the Masonic Lodge in Montego Bay. Well over 200 attended. Men in tuxedos and our Ladies in gowns. It lasted six hours with a five course diner and seven toasts.

There is much to Jamaican culture that is far different than what you see in Negril. Although, as you know Negril ROCKS!!!

Good point Captain when we stayed at Siversands a couple years ago the house next door was owned by a doctor living in the States , while we were there he had a party. His friends mostly doctors from Kingston had some real high end cars. I crashed the party later that night and had some interesting conversations. Was a interesting night.

nice to see that other aspect of Jamaica, thanks for sharing Captain! For me it is flipflops and shorts, it is good to be reminded that Ja is a complex country and there is more than meets the eye.
