    Cash is king ...
    funky stuff can & may happen ..
    If you're using a Credit card ..that being said ..
    Yes, some do take credit cards

    I have used credit cards at the larger more expensive restaurants. I don't recommend you use a debit card because there is no fraud protection and your account can be emptied. Credit cards do protect you from fraudulent charges.

    Many restaurants, yes. I typically pay in JMD cash since most don't give a very good conversion rate.

    It costs me a lot of money in fees to pull out JMD from the ATM though, so it might actually be cheaper to do the credit card charged in USD.

    Save your debit card for ATMs only.

    They probably add 3% or so to recoup the fees they have to pay when you do that.

    I have me ver seen a restaurant bill increased for using a cc but never say never😊
