I hope the rest of these reports are of interest, even though they are from June...
Awoke(arose? Not much sleep last night!) to another great and sunny day. Yay sun!!
Off to Jus Natural for another good breakfast. I had the veggie omelet and Tam had the fruit plate and toast. Also, Tam has discovered the joy of Rum Crème in her morning coffee!
Tam had her fill of the cliffs and wanted a beach day. No worries, and off to Sea Splash we went. Friendly folks and no problem using their facilities if you buy a drink/beer. No RS only Heineken? Yikes.
We spent most of the day, from 11 to 4 just lounging on the beach, playing in the water, watching the two giant sting rays cruise around about 20 yards offshore and eating patties and drinking beer on the beach. A very chilled day where neither of us spoke much, but did exactly what we wanted to do, exactly when we wanted to do it. Hedonism!!
Went to Firefly again for cheap beers and good vibes. Around 5:00 it was time to call it good and head up the hill for the sunset. Headed back to Xtabi to desalinate in the swimming pool, fell asleep in the lounger and almost missed the sunset. Raced back to the room, made a couple of dark&stormy’s and hoofed it to the deck below the restaurant. A really nice sunset that was a portent of Saturday to come!
Tam was fully in “support the local economy” mode, so it was back to Jus Natural for dinner. Tam had grilled snapper and I had the kingfish and pasta entrée. Love kingfish and this was gilled well. The pasta was tasty as well...fusilli if I recall correctly. With beers and garlic toast and all it barely hit $20us. Great value.
Back to the cottage…the air was still again, but not as warm…maybe sleep will come tonight…
