We arrived Negril April 15th ....... the day the new law went into effect. We did notice more open spliff smoking even in places that used to be spliff free. No one was making a big scene or a big deal but it was definitely more open. Actually the vibe everywhere was very laid back like the "old days". Some long time locals were back to having a big "all day" spliff as they performed their daily routines. Very relaxed and irie.

But best of all ............. NO CRACKHEADS ANYWHERE. Now we only made a few day time walks down the beach toward town were things used to be a little more "edgy", but there was definitely less "edge" and more laid back vibe then in the not too distant past. Maybe government programs to control guns and crack smuggling are making progress ?

All in all I believe the new law will work out just fine.
