Perhaps it was know as Shanty Town. It went for miles about 400-500 yards toward the ocean from the train. Seems if I remember part of it was a garbage dump. All the Jamaican's on the train didn't pay too much attention as I assume they have seen it most of their lives. Bob Marley and Jimmy Cliff often refer to "Shanty Town" in their songs Them a loot, dem a shoot in Shanty Town".
