Gaining weight in Negril, can't help it
Help me out!
About 2 months before my trip I start to
watch what I eat and exercise almost everyday
and cut out beer for the last 2 weeks.
I notice my clothes fit better, and I feel a little lighter in my step.
As soon as the plane lands in Mobay, I'm ready for the beach.
By day 3,
I have eaten 3 breakfast,
3 lunch and 3 dinners...and about 18-20 beers.
I look in the mirror and I look like a beached whale.
Is the food extra rich?
Is it all those beers?
Not exercising?
But, I do walk in Negril, which is good for aerobic exercise.
But, I read some people don't burn fat that way.
Some need High intensity muscle exertion I guess.
Oh well, lift the beers high!!
That 1st Red Stripe taste sooooo gooood!!!
I guess that's why they call it a Beer belly.

You are only doing one thing wrong: looking in the mirror! Enjoy!

I have the opposite happen. Walking from end to end of the beach, and the cliffs every day - it doesn't matter how much I eat of drink. I always lose about 5 pounds when I am in Jamaica.
Never ever fails.
I also diet in the weeks leading up to the trip. If I have an overall goal of 15 pounds to lose. I target 10 pounds for the day I leave.

I usually gain weight in fluid from the heat, humidity, red stripe, rum cake and dirty bananas....by the end of the trip, I'm usually laying in bed with my feet propped up on the wall trying to drain the fluids back out of my legs....sucks to get old...
