Sitting on Flight, seat belt buckled and "Sorry folks, we must leave the plane"

Man I had it all worked out.
    Taxi ride, right on time.
I thought that since this was Thanksgiving weekend, nuff people would
be flying out, clogging the TSA lines.

As I walked towards the lines, I noticed not many folks there.

    I was 2 hours early.
Aww man, I had loads of time.

Oh well, I went on through, and headed to my gate.

Then they changed the gate 1/2 hour before boarding time.
Got on the plane, had a nice seat.
    Then:

"Captain here, there seems to be a dent in the engine exhaust pipe"

We will try to fix it, please be patient.

    A dent???
    That doesn't sound good.

    15 minutes later
"Sorry folks, this plane isn't going anywhere."
"Please pick-up your boarding Pass as you depart and head to gate #25.

    Ok,
I don't want to fly on a "just fixed" dented engine.
    Those suckers must fly smooth.
    No extra turbulence, PLEASE.

A dent on the engine exhaust?
    Good call captain.
I wonder if he was doing a last minute walk-around and noticed it?
    Or a mechanic noticed it?

Thank Southwest for NOT leaving on time.

Better to not leave on time then to not make it at all.

Could have been worse. Last year we flew from Toronto to MBJ. 2 1/2 hours into the flight somewhere over Florida, Captain comes on and says weather radar not working, we're going back to Toronto. That was the beginning of our 21 hour day.
