    Sav Market

It has been 30 yrs since I've been to the market, Would it be a safe place to bring my family? Thought we may stop on the way to Mayfield Falls.

Gman , I went by route taxi with a friend to pick up some veggies and fish 2 years ago... driver on the first leg was a little crazy, no problems with the other five drivers. Long day.

I'm assuming you have a driver?...no problem going to Sav market other than Fridays and Saturdays can be crazy busy and overwhelming to some people...have your driver help you out getting around the area.

We route taxi over and back every time we go to Negril. IMO Friday and Saturdays are the best days because they are so busy. Go early if you want to experience the fish and meat markets. Do not take photos unless you ask first. EasiSpice is across the street, but is not open on Saturday.

    Regards,
    Bob

We went to Sav a few years ago. Here's a link to the report, think it's page 16&17. We had a good friend that lives in Negril take us there. I feel like I would have been somewhat lost without him, so I agree, get a good driver to show you around. It was a unique experience.

If you like people watching...check out SAV.

    Many streets, twist and turns.
    Shopping price wise is excellent.
This trip, I'm going alone, by Route Taxi.
I got some great spices at the (off the Main) road place,
behind some shops. I was with a friend last time,
    Hope I can find it.

I remember walking past the Police/Court house, then......????
Any hoo, it is a charming little town.

Just watch your step, many uneven and broken side walks.
    But, its a blast!
To pull up, lean against a wall, observe and chill.
