Back to the hotel and pool and tourist stuff

This trip I'm staying back on the strip at a hotel.

My last 4 trips have been at a locals house.

It will almost be a culture shock in reverse.
No more "baby, wake up, how many pancakes do you want, while i'm still in bed.
No more coffee brought to you,
while a cutie-pie stares at you,
while you taste it ......hoping she got it right.

"Ahhh, perfect honey doll, I guess I'll take 3 pancakes with crisp bacon"

No more Grandma calling and asking
"are you going to the church revival with us?"
You said you would one day.

    True, but not today.

No more of the wee ones,
looking so nice and crisp in their school uniforms, early in the morning.

No more pulling my stiff jeans off the laundry line
and smelling that just washed scent.

No more 3 channel antenna TV-J.

No more what do you want for dinner,
and going to Sav and actually buying tonight's
dinner and hopping in a route Taxi to SAV,
    and bringing it home.

No more heaping pile of rice on every plate.
( I tell her every time "too much rice")

Watching the outdoor fires being started,
and the Jerk Chicken fresh of the coals in the Yaad.

No more dogs, watching guard over the property day and night.

No more being a shopkeeper, trying to figure out what the local guy/gal is asking for.
(that deep patois is still rough for me to pick up.)

No more 1 pound of herb for practically nothing.

I know, I know, life's rough, but someone has to do it.
