    Day at 7 Mile Beach

We are wanting to spend the day at 7 Mile beach. Can anyone recommend a place we can use their loungers/facilities for a fee? Also, we are wanting to parasail or some other water sport. I found these insanely cheap prices on Treehouse website: http://negriltreehouse.com/water-sports.html, are these for guest of the property only? Had a bad experience our one day to the 7 mile beach last time and I know it was just bad luck. Have read awesome things and want to try again. Respect.

Most places will let you use loungers if you buy food or drinks. Sun Beach is one mentioned here often.

Other than the All Inclusives, I cannot think of single property that won't let you use their beach without a small fee or buying drinks and/or food. Bringing your own food or drinks or being escorted by a known troublemaker are both a no go. Can you let us know a bit more about your bad luck in case others have had this problem.

Only places that would for sure turn you down are those with no bar or restaurant, like Nirvana, Crystal Waters, Idle Awhile Villas.

Thanks a ton everyone!! My "bad luck" was more just me not knowing and not getting the best of help. We were dropped off in front of Treehouse for Paddle board Yoga. The man at the gate said it would be $10 a piece to "use the property". We told him we were here for the yoga and that we were only told of the $20 fee per person for that. He said this is if we want to enter and use the property we would have to pay the $10 per person and drinks, food, and other stuff is additional. We decided to not go in because $30 per person seems like a lot and at that point my good vibes we're gone. We caught a taxi and back up to the West End(Best End!) Later that day we went back to downtown and wanted to go to long bay and walk around and drink. We jumped in and asked the driver to take us to Margaritaville (since I knew they would let us through to the beach for free). I don't like the place and the driver agreed saying I will take you to a better place. Where does he drop us off, Treehouse and the same man is working the gate. We walked down to Margaritaville and entered the beach and walked north(right) which turns out to be my mistake. Found very few places before we hit the AI and obviously nothing there so we chilled on the beach in front of Couples for 20 minutes in the water then caught a taxi back home. I have now learned to go anywhere south of Margaritaville and you will be fine and have a great time!! Still don't know why we had to pay $10 per person just to enter the property. We are big beer drinkers and would have spent at least that in beer but instead took our money to De Bar and Seastar. Like I said, it was partially my ignorance but still an unfortunate situation.

I haven't personally been asked to pay...but have had a few people tell us that they were asked to pay at the gate of Treehouse.
There's a handful of properties that require you to pay to use their beach area/lounge chairs...Charela Inn, Yellow Bird, Cosmos come to mind...some put the fee towards your bar/food bill...

Yeah, I didn't think it sounded right but then again it was my first time to Negril. ha I cant imagine why he would say food, drinks and activities are additional if our $20(2 of us) was going to be applied to our Yoga, Bar, or Food. Its okay though. I truly put this one in the books as a lesson learned and am so excited to go back! I am sure I will come to Treehouse next time via the beach and get a feel for the place so I can approach the situation better. Always gonna buy drinks wherever we go on the beach and possibly food and so as it sounds most places will welcome us with that or a small fee. Thanks for everyones feedback!!
Hope To See You Pon da Rock!!
