In reactions to certain restaurants and bars that will be closed is there anything else like route taxi that will be fewer? Or anything else that will be closed potentially while we are there is October. Sidebar, is there route taxi to little bay or is the weather end as far as they go?

To take a route taxi to Little Bay...you really have to know the system.
You'd have to know how to take a taxi through the Negril Spot area and you're correct, the route taxi only goes so far in the West End.
It would be much easier to charter a driver for the day and given the time of year you're coming down...it'll be very affordable to hire someone.

We tend to be there in the offseason (April, July, or September is when we usually visit) Expect places that are open to have less staff. We waited almost 2 hours to be served breakfast at Canoe once (and when we finally got the food the order was completely wrong but we were hungry so we ate it) There was only one person working, and we were one of three tables. Similar experiences elsewhere. Every time we've gone to Chances during the day for pizza, we were the only ones there and had to wait for the oven to heat up. I never think to call ahead and order though.

Thanks for the info and advice!! Bnewb, what is Negril Spot? I am thinking we probably will. We are gonna go camp down there for a night and thought about chartering a driver to take us to blue hole then to the place we are staying. Then pick us up the next day.

Negril Spot is an area outside of Negril going towards Savanna La Mar.

Hire a taxi driver to take you to Little Bay and have him come back and get you the next day....or just get a taxi driver that's already in the Little Bay area to take you back to Negril...either way will work.
