Going if Feb 2018. When will you be there next? Hope to meet up with the boardies at the end of feb.
Drove past it to get my emission check this Sat - passed. For those that don't live in socialist republic of upstate Illinois, we have to bring our cars to get emissions checked every 2 years or you can't renew your license plate.
As for Supreme Lobster prices.
For tails only: warm water $30US/lb, cold water $60/lb.
Whole lobster: under 2lb $14.99/lb, over 2lb $15.99/lb.
Looking like my next lobster will be in JA in November.
They are gorgeous!! How much to fly to MoBay from Maine? May have to plan a layover next year
was this directed to me ? Those pics are Jamaican spiny lobster . I personally prefer it simply steamed , served with melted butter , garlic butter , or even your favorite granny sauce!!!
about 200. pp from pwm to mbj . Maine lobstah is overpriced and over rated imo . Although , yes , delicious . I find JA spiny lobster as good .
Hi Irine,
Don't know how familiar you are with Maine but it is a really beautiful state. I own a spot there that I fondly refer to as "Negril North", my goal in life is to split 6 months in JA (December - May) and 6 months at Negril North (June - November).
As far as airfare goes there are two airports in Maine, Portland and Bangor neither offer direct flights to Montego Bay or Kingston. I would guess depending on time of year a one way ticket (with at least 0ne stop) from either Portland or Bangor would cost between $250 and $350 although those are guesses. Portland has become a very cool, hip city in New England with a ton of things to do in summer.

Oh bummer Johng, pics are great and obviously the lobster look like they are to die for, but for some reason it is cheaper to fly out of Duluth. Return tickets in feb 2018 with one stop is $490 a person. Super good rate. Still want to get out to main, can't remember the name but you have a restaurant there famous for lobster bisk, saw it on HGTV a few years back. For a seafood nut going there for an "eating vacation" is like going to New Orleans for an eating vacation, it would be a dream.
Irine
If you find yourself in Bloody Bay, there's a guy at the beginning of the vendors booths with a trap full of lobster in the surf. The same goes if you get yourself out to Booby Cay
As for New Orleans, Acme is the most run down, beat up, delicious place to eat in my opinion. They couldn't shuck the oysters or bring the crawfish fast enough. Unfortunately we haven't been there lately, since for a few dollars more we can be in Negril
