Negril.com - For the vacation that never ends!
No matter the result today, 9.58 will be the time to beat for years, perhaps decades to come.
Gotta tip my hat to Gatlin, 35 years old and he killed it today.
My heart is sad and full at the same time.
It would have been perfect for me as a Canadian to have had Canadian Andre De Grasse (injury) next to Bolt and Gatlin...but that didn't happen .
I have big respect for Gatlin who won the race and was incredibly respectful enough to let Bolt have his last commemorative 100m race moment after the finish line.
Still looking forward to the 4x100...kick their butts Jamaica!!!!
From Wikipedia:
"In 2001, Gatlin was banned from international competition for two years after testing positive for amphetamines....On July 29, 2006, Gatlin told the media that he had been informed by the USADA that he had given a positive doping test in April the same year...On August 22, 2006, Gatlin accepted an eight-year ban from track and field, avoiding a lifetime ban in exchange for his cooperation with the doping authorities"

Personally, I have a hard time tipping my hat to a two time drug cheat who was supposed to have been banned for life after his second transgression.
Gatlin is clean now.
To accomplish what he has at his age is amazing.
Most people would have just quit.
Mr. Bolt had more than one good day!
We're all in this together and none of us is getting out alive.
