Re: Dealing with IRMA and remembering GILBERT

I was beginning to become terrified about this exact time 29 years ago. IRIE FM had stopped abruptly around noon.

The final thing we heard on the radio was that "Kingston has been destro.....". The airwaves went quiet.

Only the night before had we been informed that there was a "bad storm" coming. No one seemed overly concerned, so we did not take it too seriously. Hell, the sunset last night had been the most beautiful one of our two week vacation. A storm would be an interesting experience.

This concept would come back and haunt us all...

"One of the laundry gals pipes up ,,"LOOK AT DA BLOOD"
"YES,THAT WOULD BE MINE" I said as my leg that at first gave no pain, started dishing it out in large bunches........"
