Coco La Palm, it was like Mayfair

Needed a change of pace for B-fast.
    How about CoCo la Palm?

Showered and dressed, ready at about 8 ish.

Hopped in a Route mobile and headed down the road.

Got out in front and started to walk into the Hotel.
There is a Security booth manned, or should I say womanned.

"Hey! You staying here? she asked.

    Oh Hi,
No, I am not staying here.
I heard there is a nice Breakfast and thought I might try it.
She looked me up and down, then asked my name.

    Spoon........ Marko Spoon.

She squinted her eyes and said OK, go ahead.

I stayed there once before and it is still a complicated maze.
I saw a gardener and asked the way to the restaurant.
    "go left then right.
I started walking, made a couple of turns and could not see any signs
    of a restaurant.
Ok Mark, use your wits man.
    I stopped walking and listened.
The un-mistakable sound of silver ware and plates.
Ahh sooo, must be this way.

I had on a very bright, vibrant yellow shirt.

I get to the seating area, and I see all the staff
wearing the exact same color shirt!!!

I found a vacant table on the outer edge and took a seat.
The waitresses were giving me the eye, walking back and forth.
I counted about 5 ladies, all wearing the same color shirt.

    Nobody came towards me.
Nobody asked if I needed anything.

Hmmm, they must think I am part of management.
Maybe a new supervisor or something.

So, I just kept looking around, checking out the set up.
    It was wonderful.
Extremely nice , clean and neat looking.
Puts a lot of places to shame.

    Aw hell, I said.
    Enough of this.
I got up and saw that 90% of the tables were occupied.
I looked to my left and saw a wonderful shiny marble like bar.

One waitress was about to walk by me, so I stopped her.
Excuse me, her eyes opened very wide and she said "can I help you Sir"

That bar, can I sit there and eat breakfast.
    "Why certainly, you can.
She escorted me over and introduced me to Kamika,
I guess she handles the bar customers.

I had a seat and started to talk to Kamika.
Soon, I had coffee, a crystal glass of iced water and basket of warm Banana bread.

She took my order, I wanted an Omlette.
She said "you can get 4 different ingredients.
I had tomatoes, onions, and bacon (I think) and toast.

Soon the Omelet came and Kamika tried to place a
nice big napkin in my lap.

I told her I got this baby.

There was a nice portion of roasted, seasoned potatoes
and the Omelet was cooked to perfection.

    All was steaming hot.

I could only smile and eat at the same time.

Now, mind you, the price is what I usually spend
for 2 breakfasts elsewhere, but if you love top shelf quality B-fast,
    (once in a while)
and you want to splurge a little extra money, try CoCo La Palm.

Great breakfast but a little pricey. When we stayed there you could upgrade from the continental to a full breakfast for a few bucks. A gal there named "Love" had a bright smile every morning.

Last time I checked out at Coco La Palm I told the super nice folks at in the front desk, "i need to go home and make more money so i can afford to come back."

The coconut encrusted snapper and lobster mac-n-cheese were delicious. The Chef at Coco last January was putting out some super grub. I hope he is still there.

    Man, that does sound delicious.
