A period of very cold wind chills continues.


Wind chill values of minus 40 or below were reported this morning. Extreme wind chill values are expected again over the next few nights. However, wind chills will moderate during the daytime hours.

Watch for cold related symptoms: shortness of breath, chest pain, muscle pain and weakness, numbness and colour change in fingers and toes.

Just back from London on a delayed train having watched a football match in rain like niagra falls . Snowing now here in the Midlands . Wrapped up from the cold having a drink of some JB rum which I landed in UK with on Xmas morning and my turkey sandwich .
We lost and it's freezing cold.
But I wouldn't swap it for anywhere in the world at this time of year
