Reactivate Cell Phone

Purchased a cell phone in Ocho Rios on our last trip about 5 years ago. Where is the best place in Negril to get the phone activated again? Would like to primarily add International minutes. Thanks.

all you need is a new SIM card - if it's a Digicel phone you can go to any Digicel store to buy a new SIM, and also add the international plan to it. bring ID, as they're supposed to ask for it -- sometimes they don't but best to be prepared just in case....

in Negril there are two places you can go, both are downtown near the roundabout. the Digicel store is next to the Burger King, and Foundation Imports (a general phone & electronics store) is on the 2nd floor of the plaza where Value Master grocery store is.

you could also stop in Montego Bay as you leave the ariport - there's a Digicel store on the hip strip, just a few minutes drive from the airport. Taxi drivers know where it is.
