    Question Airfare from Chicago--Southwest Airlines

It must be too early to book for my June trip. Prices show $757 ..
I have NEVER paid that much for airfare. The highest I've paid is $600 (and that's high to me).
Maybe after April 15th rates will drop??? What do you think?

This years spring trip airfares are probably the most weve spent over the the last 28 years. ( Chicago / Sw. ) We paid almost $660.00 for end of April into May. Could of done better if we purchased earlier, but we played the "let's wait and check things everyday" game. Didn't fare so well this year. Price kept creeping up the whole time. Then the wife checked one morning and there was only 3 tickets left for the flights we wanted back in early January. Needless to say we jumped on it and decided to spend d a little less on hotel. 'Might' be a sign of Amercan economy being a little better.....who knows.

Thanks McLaren-- They *should* drop a bit, I'm playing the wait and see game. I reaaaally wish we could go back to the days were we had Air Jamaica and the fare was no more than $300-$400

Southwest is amazing because if the price drops you get the credit towards another trip. I just book and keep watching. Seems very high for my trip in late April, and I booked my flight in the fall. Price hasn't come down at all!
