This was our Centennial in 1967 looking up at Parliament Hill. By the evening it was packed with people from across Canada and around the world. I am proud to say that my Dad had a hand in planning and implementing this. I had a job as a tourist guide for one of the attractions - GOD, I'm old - LOL

The Maple Split fly by while the choirs singing the National Anthem was inspired today!
And the Deadpool cameo was well timed!

I still have my Expo '67 pin at home. Canada held the World's Fair that year, which was originally supposed to be held in Russia, but they backed out. The year I was born (1962) was the year Montreal was awarded the fair. As a 5 year old from the small town of Port Arthur The World's Fair blew me away, I still have very vivid memories. SO BIG!!!! Attracted over 50 million visitors from around the world. At the time the second largest attendance of all time, and still 4th on a really long list. Of interest Russia had the highest attended pavilion of the fair at over 13 million. I'm such a proud Canadian!
