    Trip report

Just returned from a 12 day trip . Arrived super bowl Sunday and home this past Friday.
Had a great time and happy we went despite COVID .
We felt safe the entire trip other than returning home from Charlotte on a packed small plane.
The 8 o clock curfew was a pain but we did find a couple spots that were a bit more liberal on the closing time. Beach was pretty quiet sorta like when we went end of May last year.
We went to 3 dives one evening and we were the only customers they had for the entire day
    Pretty sad.
Visited Connie’s/ Jenny’s for her special cake and other goodies and highly recommend.
Had several meals at Skylark and food there is hard to beat.
Bottom line it was a different kind of trip but still we loved it.

Thanks for the report. How are the locals doing? They were still quite positive on our December trip. Hoping they are doing as good as possible

Any sightings of Herbie, sexy rexy, or Karl Rickett's? I wonder about how they are doing.

dont know any of the people you asked about. the people do not complain. business as usual but i know the restaurants are hurting as well as the vendors. i made a point to give each of them money at least a couple times. we really like the mom who walks the beach with her daughter selling the bracelets.
many of the hotels were shut down. vera club, rooms, grand pineapple among others. we walked the beach everyday . sad walking by the area on the beach that had the pimentoz as well as several other restaurants. all were shut down. never thought they would do much business as they are in the middle of the all inclusives. still someone has lost quite a bit of money building that out . wonder if they will reopen at some point but quite a mess out there. the obstacle course in the water was all around the beach area. mask wearing was very good all along the beach as well as the hotel. we did venture to see friends in red ground and no mask wearing up there. some of them dont believe covid is real as they dont know anyone who has it. very few cases i am told in Westmorland
