How was the lockdown as a visitor at a beach hotel?

Just wondering if you were allowed on the beach and in the water at your hotel?

We just returned on Saturday, but were told that it would be business as usual at the hotels during the lockdown since hotels are "essential businesses".

Hopefully the numbers go down so Jamaica won't be locked down in 24 days

It's only for the next two weekends... combating movement over the Easter holiday time.

Just returned last night. Lock down did not effect us at all. From Friday at noon until Monday at 5 am, restaurants were allowed to be open until 8 pm if there was a hotel attached. Beach was open but normal vendors not there over the weekend. Walked the beach daily. Was very quiet after curfew, only cars on the road basically taking restaurant and hotel folks home.
