Unfortunately we heard (and were warned) about this event all over town yesterday...we wondered what might happen...

This will be interesting to see how it plays out... the official JTB website had the event listed, but has now removed it calling it an oversight.

    Wow!!
Rickís isnít a place conducive to mask wearing. Yes they have been requiring masks for entry along with hand sanitizing and temp checks but the masks come off once inside. In February our group only stayed for a beer and then moved on to a place where we werenít face to face with strangers. In my opinion they were jeopardizing tourism for everyone while other establishments were playing by the rules. Enjoy sunset and beer for half the price at LTU!!

"Nobody goes there anymore, it's too crowded, " - Y. Berra. Anyway, it isn't right when the small businesses of Jamaica are hurting, trying to do the right thing and Rick's Cafe gets to flaunt the rules. Hypocritical!

A little peace and quiet at Catcha during sunsets for a bit.

I agree with Rumrunner. We've stayed at LTU Gardens for years ( it was catcha gardens when we started) and walked right past Ricks many times on our way to Catcha and other establishments for dinner and never ventured through Ricks gate. It's just not our scene. It is the source of a huge loud traffic jam on West End every afternoon and the band is super loud most evenings. I do miss the old Kaisers though. LTU Pub is a nice snug harbor. We're booked to be back in mid August.
