Visiting in Oct instead of Feb.

Looking for information about visiting in Oct. What fruits are available, what restaurants are open on the west end, Is there any live music available? We have been to Ja. many times but never in any other time than Feb. Are there going to be taxi's available?

The seasonal fruits usually available are june plum, ackee, pear (avocado), sweet sop, soursop and plums. As for the rest of your questions, assuming Covid is over, predicting the first October post Covid is a best guess scenario.

Assuming the above, I assume there will be a pent up demand for travel, which would mean more visitors than usual. And with the very slow "busy season" December to April and the lack of any real economic savings for the businesses, I would guess that more businesses than usual will be open and more music and shows will be running later into the night as was usual pre-pandemic.

Taxis are always available and if we assume the Covid restrictions have been lifted then the route taxi system would even be available (although we discourage it during peak local traveling hours) to our visitors.

Once again - this is based on a best guess situation...
