It's Mardi Gras today in New Orleans but I am NOT going out in that crowd. That's how Covid started here in 2020. I dropped my wife and her friend off near the French Quarter today but I'm still gun shy. Now I'm dreaming about Chicken Lola, and a Rare Blend on the rocks with a water back and reflecting on how Jamaica did a much better job of containing the virus than we did here. Last time in Negril was late August 2020, and I felt safer there than here. Would have been back by now but Hurricane Ida and continuing repairs to our house have belayed Negril trips for now. I want Chicken Lola and Snapper Escoviche and sunsets but we have to get our house fixed first. I'm SO conflicted!
