    Where to eat?

Staying at Travellers Resort but would also like to try other places as well for meals. Looking for recommendations and price range. Thanks in advance!

Since you are staying on the beach, there are some great places within walking distance. Kuyaba has been a popular place for decades. Just past the Negril Beach Club, there is a chain link fence where Dru's is located. They have tremendous homemade Jamaican patties - a complete meal, they are huge!

Across the road you have Sunrise, Cafe Goa, Kenny's Italian and Kenie's (sp) Chinese (upstairs).

For a short taxi ride, you can go to Miss Lilly's at Skylark, Charela Inn, White Sands, Coco La Palm, Sandy Haven, Matthews, Firefly, Alfred's, along with jerk pans lining the entire length of Norman Manley Blvd.

Take a beach stroll early in your trip and stop by these places to check out their menus. With the global inflation, I don't want to "guess" what the prices are, but check their menus and you will find an incredible variety at fair prices. The higher priced places are much more set for their ambiance.

If you want Jamaican cuisine got o Sips N Bites next to Rockhouse. Prices are very reasonable. They are closed on Saturdays and alcohol is usually BYOB.

Kuyaba is a great place for Happy Hour snacks and they have a great evening menu as well.

    Re: Where to eat?

Just returned from another fantastic trip. We ate at many different places and didn't have one bad experience.
Breakfast would range from $7usd-$15. Lunch $7 and up. Dinners generally range from $15-$30.
I had a fabulous piece of snapper at Firefly. The biggest piece of fish all week! Chill Awhile @ Idle Awhile was our daily due to staying there. The food and service is second to none on the beach. Prices are no different than all the others. LTU seemed to have the most options for all meals. Do not miss Best in West! Miss Lily's does a nice job with food and service. The patties and fruit on the beach for lunch makes it very easy to not leave your seat. Our friends did dive into the beach lobsters one day and were very impressed. I have always been a little hesitant. The live reggae at Roots on Thursday night brought many street vendors. It all smelled so good. We did venture one night out to Blue Mahoe on the cliffs. I was hoping for better. The view was great but the food was so so.
Just keep in mind that you do NOT want to go anywhere hungry. Average service time was 30-45 minutes which provides more time to consume a beverage or two of your choice.
    Enjoy your trip.
    Peace

Prices are up for sure. Cocolapalm raised their menu prices 20-30 percent from a few months ago but that said there are a few places trying not to raise but the days of J250-300 stripes are mostly gone.

Ocean Breeze at the Negril Beachhouse Condos, just past Dru's, is very good. Had a couple of breakfasts and 1 dinner there last April. Excellent food and service and reasonable prices IMO. There is also a small food place at the front of Negril Beach Club Condos that is very good. Sandwiches and fries type of thing.
