Ziggy Marley Concert (Not in Jamaica)

So, I got word about 20 minutes before tickets were to be released to the public that Ziggy is coming to my hometown this summer. So, on an impulse I pulled the trigger. Probably paid more than I should, but life is today and center stage, first row behind the orchestra pit, was available. So I did it. He's actually the opening act for Tedeschi Trucks Band.

Has anyone seen him live recently? How about Tedeschi Trucks Band? If so, how was the show? The most recent set list I found for Ziggy says that he's been doing tribute shows to his father. It was all Bob and the Wailers songs. If it stays that way, should be a good show. Wouldn't mind some of his original stuff to be thrown in though.

We saw Ziggy open for Jack Johnson last year. He did a very good show and I'm glad we went even though I'm not a fan of Jack Johnson.

BTW....we have tickets for the Marley Brothers with Sean Paul and Protoje at Red Rocks (on 4/20! ha!) Can't wait for that show!

Ooooh, Redrocks. Only seen it on video, but looks like a very cool venue.

We splurged because we both turn 60 this year and it's our 40th anniversary

Tedeschi Trucks Bank is superb....Susan has a great bluesy voice and Derek's slide guitaring is some of the best around....back up bank is good too.

    Ziggy I know nothing about.

I am going to their show in NH this summer.

Derek Trucks' father was Butch Trucks one of the two drummers with the Allman Brothers Band back in the day. Saw them at New Orleans Jazz Fest years ago and it was smokin'. Red Rocks is a natural stone ampitheater just outside Denver, CO. It has excellent acoustics and seems to glow as the sun begins to go down. Add edibles and you've got yourself a one of a kind experience (so I'm told).

Ziggy is great, but Derek Trucks is amazing. I've seen him many times with various groups, and he never disappoints. I've often caught my jaw hanging in awe at his guitar talents.
Ziggy - Derek - Red Rocks - (maybe even a few gunnies!) priceless! I envy you! Enjoy and happy anniversary!
Please post a review after the concert.
