    Tiki Pon Da Sea

Greetings. Has anyone done this tour? What did you think of it? Thanks.

We did the Booby cay tour last December. It was ok, but nothing better. We were whisked to the island with very little banter with the captain or first mate. Option to explore the island which is small doesn’t take long. The lobster was good but not great. And then taken straight back to our resort. Just not the fun experience we had heard about and the average meal left us disappointed.
We had wante to do this trip for years but had it scuttled due to weather or bad timing on our parts. I think maybe if you have a bigger group it might be better.
We have also done the coffee river cruise and thoroughly enjoyed it, the vibe matched the tour and views and coffee was amazing.

We did the Booby Cay tour with another couple when we stayed at CSA last year. It was ok but on the expensive side. The lobster that they cooked was good and the red stripes were ice cold. It was a fun way to spend an afternoon.

Again, I'm reminded of a story...years before Booby Cay became an "excursion" we were talking to a farmer on the beach one day about what he could do for us. We had exhausted the possibilities when he pointed to the cay and said a friend of his had a boat and could drop us off and pick us up later. Snorkel gear would be picked up on the way from a friend at Cosmos. We agreed. The boat turned out to be about 10' with a rubber band outboard but it got us there. There was a rustic open shed under which sat two Rasta smoking spliff, who became our newest friends. While we were there two kayaks each with a couple of duded-up newbies from one of the "compounds" came ashore. We greeted them but they took one look at "Natty Dreadlocks", retreated to their kayaks and paddled away quickly. Spoilers: the water was so shallow and the sandy bottom was so littered with spiny sea urchins we got dry fast and spent the rest of the day hanging out with Rasta.

December 2022 solo trip. Booked the sunset cruise with them. Picked me up right on the beach from Idle Awhile. Cruised up to Bloody Bay and back. I was the only passenger. Like Clint mentioned, the crew wasn't much for interaction. Probably would be better with a group of friends.
