Beach or Cliff Parking Suggestions For Rental Car?

I've traveled to Negril dozens of times over the past 10 years but have always used a taxi to get everywhere. I'm staying a little farther from the beach/cliffs on my next visit and I decided to rent a car so I can travel more spontaneously. I have never paid attention to where people park when visiting. I know there are lots for M'Ville, Ricks, Xtabi, etc . . .but any suggestions on where to park when visiting smaller spots on the beach or cliffs - spots like LTU, Sun Beach, etc?

SunBeach has a large parking area. I would say if you're going anywhere in that area just park at SunBeach. Just please please have some lunch or a beer at SunBeach. Don't just use the parking lot, lounge chairs and umbrellas and not have the decency to buy anything (like some people do). I'd say if you're just using the parking lot, grab a beer to go and walk the beach. Margaritaville has a large parking area as do just about every venue on the beach and in the cliffs. LTU parking is across the road.

I think parking is the least of your worries tropicdaze. Pot holes, crazy drivers, goats on the road, that's what I would be concerned about.
(I love driving in Jamaica BTW)

Way up the beach Skylark has a large lot and Miss Lily's has really good food. Kuyaba also has a nice sized lot and the Coconut pie there is the best. Travelers will let you park in their lot if you're there to eat. Up West End way Tensing Pen will let diners park in their lot and Catcha will let you park inside their gate if there is room and you are there to eat at Ivan's (ring the bell). There is also a lot across the street from Push Cart for that place and Rock House will let you park for their restaurant. Sips n Bites has parking right next to the restaurant. Xtabi parking is across the street. 3 Dives has parking but I hear the place is not as good as it used to be. It's been a few years but this is probably still fairly good info. Half the fun is finding out.

I assume you've already made your visit, but we've found that most places on the cliffs have some sort of parking spot that they have for use by customers. It's not always easy to see the first time around. Figuring it out is just part of the adventure. We've driven the past three years and have enjoyed having our own vehicle to get around.
