On Friday RealNegril.com will be webcasting a Memorial for Roy Rodden starting at 4pm from Eddie's Tigress II. Many of you may remember him from the webcasts over the years - his nickname was Musicmon.
He worked with Negril.com for for several years and was a great help in the early days of the site.

Musicmon's roots came from the southern part of the Ozarks, mine more northern. It always seemed to be a bond we shared during those chance meetings in and about Negril. Maybe a little bit of 2 guys with common culture looking up at breeze blown palm trees with a listerine blue sea in the background saying without speaking what a distance we have come, how fortunate are we. My step took a little stumble when I heard the news last week. Travel soft Roy.
I have won many awards in a lifetime of competition and service. But the highest was offered without plaque or fanfare on a hilltop in post Ivan Jamaica. A true Rasta and a dear friend observed "Chet you are like a father of men, you see need and fulfill that need without being asked". Let us be travelers and not tourist.
Have know Musicmon for some time from the board & in Negril although I have not seen him in several years. Nice man. This is, indeed, a loss to many. My sympathy to his family and friends.

I meet Roy when I stay at Eddie Tigress a couple weeks ago, we had coffee a few morning a few times, he was a really nice guy. RIP
