Dave, on another post, spoke about Pete's restaurant and their lobster.
Where is this place, please?

Is there a new Pete's?
The original, Pete's on the Beach, was down by One Mile, just out from Yellow Bird, and before Alfred's; Mavis' and Son's was there too. I loved it there when Pete's health was good, and the food and atmosphere was perfect. It was the first place I ever ate in Negril, back in '85. Unfortunately Pete developed diabetes, and eventually lost a foot, and died about 10 years back, if my memory serves me correctly.
After his family tried to run it, but it was never the same and fell into ruins. Two years ago the whole thing, including Mavis's, was plowed down, and forever gone...
If there's a new place called Pete's, and its really good, we all want to know!

No
Mi post was about da 'good ole days'
and that Clive (nite guard at HP) was Pete's son..
On another note-
Mavis & Sons was one of the places we ate at on our first visit-
New Years eve 1979.
We were wandering the beach looking for dessert late at nite-3 or 4am, & ended up having
special cake there.
Pete's & Mavis and Sons were great places to chill....
